Quit Groups for Smokers and other Tobacco Users

Bay Area Community Resources, a not-for-profit agency in San Rafael, provides practical and supportive tobacco cessation classes for smokers (and other tobacco users) who are ready to quit. The group meets for six sessions and teaches participants how to create effective individualized quit plans by examining their nicotine use, identifying triggers for smoking, and developing strategies to change behavior.

Participants benefit from the group setting by talking with others about their habit and how they will construct and carry out their plans. This provides each member with both support and ideas for overcoming the addiction.

Classes are held on an ongoing basis and Low Cost nicotine patches are available for registered/qualified participants.

We can help you lose the chew, too.

If you are interested in registering for the cessation classes or finding out more, please call Bay Area Community Resources 415-755-2399 to sign up. (No drop-ins please.)
